They may be the only thing standing between us and the Gun Grabbers.
Neither Presidential candidate is a good choice.
Both John McCain and Obama are poor choices for Gun Owners.
Neither candidate would veto gun control laws. Both have said so. But neither would George W. Bush. He said so too.
McCain believes we should "close the gun show loophole". Mr. McCain, there is no gun show loophole. This is a myth. Everyone who buys a gun at a gun show has to go through the same background check as at a gun dealer shop. Gun owners know this. McCain evidently does not.
Why?
McCain said in the debates that he does not own a gun. How can you vote for a man for President who does not own a gun?
Does Obama own a gun? We don't know. He says he believes the Second Amendment protects the rights of people to own guns for "hunting and target shooting".
Mr. Obama, The Second Amendment "ain't about duck hunting".
Obama has always stated on his website that he supports the Second Amendment. He has not said so publicly until now. He now states publicly that he believes the Second Amendment is an individual right to keep and bear arms, not a militia right.
At least he is beginning to lean in the right direction.
I don't know if there is any hope for McCain. He may be too old and set in his ways to change his opinion.
